Sean Riley

Sean Riley is the founder and principal of SMBR Holdings Inc., the platform that operates SMBR Financial, SMBR Capital, SMBR Private Equity, and Sean Riley Realty. He is an entrepreneur with experience across finance, automotive operations, real estate, and education.

Sean graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) and later earned his Master of Business Administration from Western University’s Richard Ivey School of Business.

He has owned and operated multiple Ford, Lincoln, and Chrysler brand dealerships across the Greater Toronto Area, managing large-scale operations and leading teams focused on performance and customer service. He also founded a vehicle leasing company that deployed capital across a large commercial fleet, expanding his experience in asset-based investment and underwriting.

As a former college professor, Sean specialized in financial statement analysis and supply chain management and consistently ranked among the top 5% of faculty across overall student evaluation ratings.

His experience extends across construction management, property development, land use planning, property evaluation, and full-cycle ownership and management of residential and income-producing properties, including both long-term and short-term rentals.
